The Rams Cuts..

Unfortunately, the Rams decided to cut

Andy this weekend, after two fantastic pre-season

games. Maybe they believe they can hide

him from all of the other teams while they are trying

to cut their squads down to the final

53 man rosters. If they cut him now,

no one else will snatch him up and sign him.

This is a young man chock full

of talent.

Two passes for yards on offense

during the first pre-season game.

One heck of a kickoff tackle on special teams

which forced a Bronco fumble?

Cut?

The St. Louis Rams have Andy over for a tryout..

How well did it go?

Andrew Helmick’s tryout with the Rams lasted all of seven plays.

“I took more time warming up than I did actually catching passes,’’ the 22-year-old wide receiver from Lindenwood University said this week. “I caught seven passes — five from the wide position and two from the slot — and then talked a little with (coach Jeff Fisher). But he didn’t say a whole lot.

“At that point, I really didn’t know what to think. I tried to stay positive, but I also wondered, ‘Was I that bad that after just seven passes, he’d seen enough?’’’

But after lunch, Helmick was called upstairs and signed as a college free agent.

senior year with Lindenwood University!

to their fallen LU Soldier, # 27,

Sterling Thomas who suffered a severe spinal cord

injury. Sterling has made so many strides in his recovery,

backed by his teammates and fans, every step of the way!
